Dear KMC Madison & Milwaukee Friends and Family,

It’s been a year of growth and transformation in many ways. Through the technology of livestreaming, many people from all over Wisconsin and Minnesota have had the chance to access even more classes, meditations, courses, chanted prayers, and festivals, making this precious advice fit even more perfectly into their busy daily lives.

Many of you have seen the positive effects of practicing Dharma, and are continuing to transform adverse conditions into opportunities for growth, being a source of strength and realistic optimism for others. From our hearts, we thank you for your steady and enthusiastic support in the form of attendance, community connection, volunteering, donations, and prayers. Our hope is that you continue to feel spiritually supported and nourished in the months ahead.

As is the case with many non-profits and businesses, we have been financially affected by COVID-19. Although a year-end giving campaign is an annual occurrence, we wanted to take the time to acknowledge that this year is a bit different. We are 100% supported by memberships and donations, and rely on fundraisers and campaigns to help cover monthly expenses and also plan for future online enhancements and building improvements to benefit the general public.

By supporting educational and operational costs, you are investing in helping Dharma to flourish- through expanded offerings of courses, classes, and retreats.  In this way, we can continue to benefit people by providing undeceptive methods to help them cope with the increasing challenges in their own lives and in the world.

Although it may be awhile before we open our doors, our focus is a safe opening. We are planning on purchasing the following equipment to improve conditions for all who attend:

  • A special device to convert our video camera (in the back of the Gompa) into a webcam so that we can offer face-to-face and livestream options simultaneously
  • Purification and disinfecting upgrades for our HVAC Systems in the meditation room and community rooms

We are also making plans for a new parking lot to improve safety for our community, especially during the winter months.

Please feel free to support with an amount that feels comfortable for you. No amount is too small. Any amount not used for these costs will be donated to the International Temples project. These Temples are dedicated to World Peace.

Giving to a Dharma Center is an extremely powerful act of giving.
