Thursday Morning Meditation

Thursday Mornings 10:00-11:15 AM

With Gen Kelsang Gomlam

Meditation is becoming increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve our quality of life, however it also has much deeper and far reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years.

These classes follow a cycle of 21 profound objects of meditation that form the Buddhist path to ultimate happiness. Each week will explore a different meditation and show how adopting this outlook can lead to deeper and deeper levels of happiness.

The teachings will be based on The New Meditation Handbook, and the format includes two guided meditations, a short talk introducing the object of contemplation and advice on how to carry the instruction into our daily life.

These classes are suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators. Feel free to join us after class to relax with some tea and light refreshments. Everyone welcome!

Note:  Although our Center is temporarily physically closed, we are offering classes via livestream. Please review our terms and conditions before registering. Here are some helpful tips for getting the most benefit from our livestream classes.
