Celebration of the 90th Birthday of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Retreat: Offering Our Faith
Reciting Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s Name Mantra
We remember every day the great kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru & Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition – but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.
Gen Gomlam will give a brief explanation of this practice as part of the retreat.
There will be three sessions of retreat using the sadhana The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the special request prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples.
We will kick off this auspicious time with Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja Friday night followed by a special retreat Saturday. Please feel welcome to bring a vegetarian food offering Friday night, or make a donation towards the offerings below.
No charge to attend!
Registration is available by livestream or a limited number of in-person seats. There will not be an on-demand option for later viewing. Registration required.
