The Art of Being a Friend: Showing Up for Others
This is an in-person event with livestream attendance available for members!
Buddha taught many ways to solve our problems and help others do the same. When our friends are in pain we need special methods to help them through their painful feelings.
In this class, we’ll explore how to use Buddha’s teachings to become a better friend in times of need. We start by learning how to stay calm even when our friends are in crisis. With a calm mind we can show up in wise and caring ways. We often have the best intentions to help, but without training in compassion and wisdom we may not be as helpful as we would like to be. However, by following Buddha’s advice we become truly helpful, and show up for them in the most meaningful way.
This workshop includes teaching and guided meditation. Everyone welcome!
Cost: $20; free for members
