Capital Campaign: Paving the Way for Peace

Help renovate our parking lot at 1825 S Park St, and make our outside space as welcoming as our hearts inside! ❤️

What it’s about

KMC Madison is a non-profit meditation center dedicated to helping the people of Madison find solutions to problems in daily life through reducing stress and developing and maintaining inner peace. Modern Buddhism is a practical presentation of Buddha’s teachings that can easily be integrated into our busy lives.

Our Center, located on Park Street, has easy access parking for those attending our classes and events. Our 25-stall parking lot, while helpful, is in dire need of repair in order to ensure basic safety in the winter months, both for people attending our Center, and for those who walk through our space daily. A new parking lot will not only be safer, but will also beautify our presence on Park St. In addition to excavating and re-paving our lot, we are hoping to also add a fence and patio area in the back of our building, which faces a quieter side street. Our intention is to offer people a quiet and attractive outdoor space for gathering after and in between classes.

All donations made to our capital campaign that are not in exchange for goods or services (i.e. our fundraising sales) are tax deductible. We are looking to raise $75,000 in order to complete this important project. Thank you in advance for contributing to helping to improve our meditation Center to provide better access for all as well as to improve our space for the community and people of Madison and the Midwest.
