Our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Dorje
Gen Kelsang Dorje is the resident teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Madison. As resident teacher his is responsible for teaching and leading meditation classes, retreats, and workshops at the center and in branch locations. He has received extensive training under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Gen Dorje is know for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to our modern life. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate these teachings into a joyful life and is committed to helping people improve their daily lives through meditation and mindfulness.

Debbie Loomis has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for several years and is a dedicated practitioner. Debbie teaches with warmth and kindness, sincerely wishing to help others become more peaceful and happy through developing their own confidence in the power of meditation.
Elena Marre‘s approach draws on her deep understanding of the meditations and teachings, while highlighting their practical, real-world application. Elena is beloved for her clear and heartfelt teachings and meditations.
Matt Rolfsmeyer is a student on our Foundation Program and serves as FP monitor. His teaching style highlights his dedication, his wish to benefit others, and his joyful sense of humor.
Donna Sereda has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for many years. Her devotion shows in her teaching.
