Learn how “Prayers for Meditation,” an essential preparatory practice for Lamrim meditation, help us create a direct connection with enlightened beings so that we can receive their special blessings, guidance, and protection as we travel along the spiritual path.
This class will use the Prayers for Meditation Sadhana

Gen Kelsang DorjeResident Teacher, KMC MadisonThe Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Madison is Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Dorje. Gen Dorje has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years under the guidance of his teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Dorje is admired for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to the modern world. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into a joyful life.
In this special Saturday class, Gen Dorje will share teachings from the Summer Festival with a particular emphasis on how to develop our reliance. It is through developing our wisdom from listening to teachings that we gain the insight that helps us to see beyond this ordinary, suffering world and be guided by our Spiritual Guide to a Pure Land.
