The Accepting Heart: a Silent Day Retreat
Experience a day retreat, meditation, and silent reflection in a peaceful environment. In silence, we engage with the meditation object in a more intimate way. We stop ‘chatting’ about Dharma from our mouth and start listening to the Dharma from deep within our heart which gives us a special inner experience of the teachings we receive.
In this retreat we will connect with our accepting heart to cultivate patient acceptance, a mind that can wholeheartedly welcome reality without the mental tension of wishing things were different. It is the conscious choice to stop fighting uncontrollable circumstances, which removes stress and allows natural happiness and courage to surface.
We will maintain silence throughout the day including lunch. In the third session of the day there will be time for some discussion.
