
Foundation Program – Try It Out
Foundation Program (FP) is a group study of the books written by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyato. Currently, we are studying The New Eight Steps to Happiness, where we learn valuable advice on how to transform life’s difficulties into a spiritual path. Each class consists of prayers, teaching, meditation and discussion. Learn more here.
You are welcome to attend the first two classes of the semester on a trial basis (RSVP required). No commitment needed unless you decide to continue! To RSVP or if you have questions, please contact Lowanna Mobley, Education Program Coordinator, at [email protected] by Sept 1.
- Classes are Tuesday Nights 6:30-8:30 PM.
- Fall semester begins Sept. 9.

Gen Kelsang DorjeResident Teacher, KMC Madison
Gen Kelsang Dorje is the resident teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Madison. As the resident teacher Gen Dorje is responsible for teaching and leading meditation classes, retreats, and workshops at the center and in branch locations. He has received extensive training under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Dorje is known for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to our modern life. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate these teachings into a joyful life and is committed to helping people improve their daily lives through meditation and mindfulness.
